I was out for another heart ablation the last couple of weeks, and while I had nothing to do I decided to clean up my diecast Broncos, now I am sure I don't have an extensive collection like some of you all do, but it has gotten to the point to where I can't remember if I have a certain Bronco when I run across one at a swap meet etc. Anyway the idea popped into my head, lets make an app for that, so I looked around and seen there were some apps available, (I didn't download any of them, but I did read some reviews). But for whatever reason I wanted to design my own app (I have never done this before).

Well I am a few days and hours into designing this thing, and I am looking for suggestions from collectors as to what they would like to see in an app. I've got the basics, year, color, make, model, scale, manufacturer. And a couple other cool things, but I know sometimes you need outside help. It's hard to think of everything all at once, and there are a billion things I do while making it, that ideas kind of get lost. However I am keeping a list of ideas as they come along to address when I get the guts of the thing done.
So I ask you all, those who are interested, what would you like to see in an App that tracks your diecast collection. I know a bunch keep it on an Excel spreadsheet, and that is fine I do as well. But if I am out and about I think it would be easier to scan a barcode on the back of a package and it tell me if I any, or if I have 5.

So send me your wish list, and I will see what is possible. I can't make any guarantees, but I will do my best.

I'm not into collecting these, but I have a friend who collects them with a main focus on '69 Chargers, but he has boxes and boxes of others. When he is talking about them or looking, he often mentions the special runs of Hot Wheels like Treasure Hunt ones or Red Line ones. Might be a good idea to add a check box or something to signify a special or limited edition run. Or part of a set ( 1 of 5, etc).

Chase and variants are part of what I am building now, but I do like the 1 of ... series idea. I will add that to the list.

Thanks
