Do cage arms = longer shocks

If I install cage arms do I need longer shocks? Or will th short body 12" bilstein's suffice?

lift determins shock length. the cage arms i belive the shocks mount pretty close to stock. should be fine.

It all depends on the resting mount hight. Measure between the mounts before and after the swap. The cage arms are going to allow more flex, so keep that in mind. U need to watch out for over extending and bottoming out the short shock too much.

I think you're a 3.5" lift right? No body lift? If so thats what I currently have and when I install the Duff arms (I think very similar to Cage arms) I will be going with very similar 7100's to what I currently have.

Going to buy:
14" Travel Short Body (10") w Res valved in 400/100, but I believe you can get them custom valved to 360/80

The 7100 14"SB is 19.61" collapsed. I have the duff arms and stage 1 shock mount (no body lift) on 5.5" coils. The front sits at 25" on flat ground. That would put a 3.5~ 23". Leaving you with about 3.39" of up travel. IIRC the 7100 12"SB is at 16.03" with ~7" up travel.

I think the 12" would be a good shock to run with the 3.5 lift unless you can get the top mounts up really high.

All you really can do is install the long arms and measure then go from there.

I'm not sure what you'll end up with but you'll flex better with the long arms so I'd plan on more droop than stock My bet is you'll be using your shocks as limit straps. If you have the luxury of a little time. When you install the arms, cycle the suspension with your springs out and check it then. Most people run 14 or 15 inch shocks with them on a taller shock tower or hoop.
