Door and Ignition Lock Question

Will the door and ignition locks from a 79 Ford Van work on a 74 Bronco?

I have an odd ball door which requires me to carry two keys for my Bronco, so I'm wanting to have all the keys match to one using my parted out 79 Ford van. Any luck???? ?:?
Thanks,
Mike

You can rekey the doors to match the ignition, for a few dollars, or do it yourself if you have ever rekeyed household doors. The pins are smaller in the bronco doors than standard household doors... so it helps if you have a few extra door locks.

...but I have the locks on my shelf out of my 79 Van that's free and ready to swap if they fit. I suppose I can pull the locks out and try but was hoping someone would know.
Thanks,
Mike

I dont think the ignition cylinder from the 78 will fit I think they are a bigger diameter. I think the door locks are bigger also but that can be fixed easily.

I'll have to check some time.....

I dont think the double cut key locks will fit in the EB without modification of the door skin and changing the ignition switch.

You can still buy an original brand new lock set from Ford that comes with the ignition slug plus the 2 door locks, and 2 keys for about 40 bucks. This might be an easier way to go. Its the same locks that the early 65-66 mustang uses.

Uh oh! The one odd ball door is a double bit! The others are the old single bit.
