door panel problems

hey i got new diamond plate door panels and i installed em, but there is a bolt sticking out of the door that holds, something on the window mechanism i tihnk? and it's leaving a BIG gap between the door and my panel, how does everyone keep their panels flat on the door?

That screw is the top mount for the window channel . Take it out , drill the diamond plate & put it back in .

The other way is to replace the round head screw with a flat machine screw.
