Door well / Rocker Panel Protector

I am looking for ideas to protect the top of the rocker panels inside the door wells. Seems everyone likes to use them as a step to get in my Bronco. I was thinking of using a brush-on non-skid compound or peel and stick pads. I would like to find something easy and inexpensive that will protect well.

Any ideas? I have not seen much from the vendors on this.

Get some magnetic sheets, cut it to fit and either spray them with texturizer or put the texture grip strips on them.

A brush on bedliner would work good for that application seeing as as it wears off you can simply reapply it to freshen it up. And you can put it on originally as thick as will allow the door to close.
