I have been fighting this for over a year or so and at my wits end. every so often my rig cuts out for a split second. almost like popping out of gear but it doesn't pop all the way out. it makes a lite gear grinding noise when this happens. I don't have to put it back in gear to keep moving. noise sounds like it's coming from the transfer case but could be in the tranny.
I replaced the clutch, transmission (stock 3 speed) transfer case (D-20), and drive shaft all in the last year.
Fuel system is all new and I just finished a re-wire so I don't think the issue is fuel or electrical.
any thoughts are appreciated!

think I may have found the issue. The linkage for the transfer case was not right. It must have moved at some point that 2 hi was all the way down and 4 hi was partially engaged so it may have been popping out of 4 high back into 2 high? I adjusted it and we'll see if this cures the problem.
Fingers crossed!

Sloppy linkage - no way! Yeah - mine got stuck in FWD for some time without it being twin sticked.

so will twin sticking it help keep it from popping out of gear? Now that I adjusted it pops all the way out. Not good. The t-case is a rebuilt from Toms.

It may help....but either way it is an "uber good" upgrade.
Good luck.
