• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

baja bronco

You should re-read my ebay posting before you try to stir up trouble and controversy. What I said was this truck was delivered to Dixon Ford as a Sport bronco and then taken to Bill Stroppe Long Beach where a baja kit was installed. If you are a preofessed Stroppe expert you would know this kit was available to anyone who wanted one. If you had gone to Fabulous Fords you would have seen it parked right next to one of Andrew Norton's kit baja's. Mark in San Diego

Do not think the guy in the first post said anything wrong. IMHO: When listing on ebay the complete paragraph without any spacing is tough to read.

Good luck with the sale.

Hi Mark, first I was not trying to cause trouble or controversy about your Bronco and I'm sorry if it does. I was only trying to see if someone had seen it or knew about it on this site, and if interested in it to check it out.
As I said I don't know if it is or is not a Stroppe Baja. I do recomend anyone wanting to buy a Stroppe check with Andrew about it as I did when I bought the Yellow one that got thrased on this site as a Fake. I'm shure this will get me some nasty remarks but that is OK. I am realy sorry if this causes you any problems. Hope you sell it and I see you at the FFF on the 25th. Bob:(

Hey Mark, nice Bronco. A couple-three questions and a bump for ya. Are those rear flares replacements? Did Stroppe install the rocker guards? Finally, who rolled the front fenders all the way around?

It is funny how many people don't know much about the Stroppes. Mark is a great guy, so nothing against him, but I would think it best to label it as a kit baja on the ebay sales title- just to avoid confusion.

Yep. What's more, Bob's post didn't try to stir up controversy or confusion. He said it plain and simple, it's not listed on the MR, and that he didn't know one way or the other. Bob did EB guys a favor by helping them check it out, and he did Mark a favor by posting it here so it got more circulation. Don't see why that would cause anybody any frustration.

The rear flares are original Stroppe fiberglass ones. The rocker guards were installed by me. I can't say for sure who rolled the front fenders but they are done extremely well...

Where in San Diego are you? Might want to come by and take a look. I like the 4 speed option.

Maybe some more pics and info would silence the critics. Pictures of the frame area where the p/s was installed would be a good start. I realize the orig p/s is removed but the heavily modified frame would still be evident. Also info on the toploader would helpful. The tag on the side would at least tell us the trans is year correct for the Bronco. Not all of the stroppe mods had his name embossed on the side like the adapter, so often it's a culmination of clues that confirms a stroppe mod. Also this truck has been modified by others besides stroppe. So in order for people on this site to be able to bid with confidence I think more info is needed.

Yup, I hear you Mark - I got the same responses on the Nixon Bronco by some - kind of funny where the nastiness comes from.....I'll never really understand.

Anyway, I agree with Dead Road, that more pics of the Stroppe mod'd areas, especially the steering box area, would help people bid. I for one, dont remember looking too hard at the steering, because I figured you left the Stroppe stuff in. I think Kutty Sark has pics of that Bronco when it was found in SD.

Sale pending

Hey Mark, I am the lucky buyer.;D I look forward to learning more about this rig and meeting you in the near future.

I spent some time speaking with Steve with Big Sky Broncos in Montana before I made a move on this unit. He is a wealth of information!!

adios "brown dog"....you`ll be missed.......

She will be well taken care of...trust me. Performed quite well (other than some carb issues with some significant altitude changes)on a 24 hour (1,500 mile) non-stop drive to Montana. We are both too damn old for that type of stuff!!!
