Early 67 Bronco Sport Restoration

I have an early 67 Bronco Sport with a 1970 351C 4v. The truck is mechanically sound and I would drive it anywhere. I want to do a frame off restoration, however, and would appreciate any input as this will be my first attempt at a complete automotive restoration. I have a fair amount of mechanical experience on automobiles, motorcycles and aircraft. Any links to shop manuals/microfiche or any other information is greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum but am finding it to be very informative. Thanks for your help.

Welcome rk,

I also have a '67 Sport that is slated for restoration. I would say get a Chilton or Haynes manual, or a Ford manual if you can find one.

You should be able to find the first two at any Barnes & Noble/Border's etc.

Also, get some catalogs from the vendors, so you can see the parts....and compare prices.

Good Luck,;) ;D

be carefull removing the sport specific parts. My 67 sport has this pretty trim on the dash between the pad and panel and on the bottom edge. It took me 2 years and $$$ to find one after i accidently threw out the originals. dont know how original in the resto you want to be but I have a 67 289 bronco engine

That chrome dash trim is new one on me, as well. I'm going to bet that was specific to a '67 Sport. I just called a guy about a '67 U14 6 cyl (cheap!) sounded like a pretty good deal. I wouldn't ming getting it & maybe hunting out of it for the remainder of the year & slapping a '77 running gear I have underneath, next spring, wondering how hard that would be?? Anyways, good luck to the original poster, I'd just get some horses & sit the body over on it & go to work!!

I have restored my 67 Sport. One of the best parts is the windows unbolt for summer driving. Regarding a manual. Go
to ebay and by the official 1967 Ford Bronco. I use that all
the time. I like it over the Chilton. One other thing. Be ready
to have the gem out of commision for quite some time.

Good Luck! When done, they turn a lot of heads.
