I see people using POR 15, and other things for the underbody. Has anyone use theis stuff from Eastwood. I know I love their product. Everything I have ever bought from them has been great. I read about the Rust Encapsulator and it says it does no need a top coat, not uv sensative. All you do is remove any grease, oil. Scuff the surface and apply by brush or spray. It almost sound to easy.

Has anyone used it?

I did notice it comes in 3 colors, silver, black, red.

It is still $100 a gal. $30 a qt, $21 for a aerosol can.

I am probably an expert on this stuff since I covered the bottom, axles, frame, engine compartment with it. Here is some advise though use the red encapsulator and then cover it in the chassis black it looks awesome and if you are taking the time to do the encapsulator use the black over it. It not only protects it but I guarantee it will look better than when it rolled of the showroom floor if done right...I know mine does. For some reason the black encapsulator didn't look as thick or something and it was hard to tell what kind of coverage you were getting with the chassis black over it.

so I take it stands up to what they say. Did you brush, rattle can, or air gun it? Just a little curious. Has your EB been outside, wet, etc. since you used this product? How long have it been on? Sorry for the questions. I have a curious mind.;D

Hey no problem, the bronco has not been outside and it hasn't been wet also I sandblasted and that left a brand new surface so it has been under ideal conditions. What I can tell you is that I used it in the body seems where rust always bleeds through the paint and it hasn't. I can't prove anything but I still feel it is a good product. If I were you I would use the aresol I brushed the frame and it dried so quickly that you could see brush strokes (foam brush) it may have been a touch warm though??? Good luck
