you could shoe horn it in, but why would you want a 600 lb mammoth in your bronco? a 351w would fit much easier and give you the same power/torque.

X2 you can make anything fit but in the end I dont think its really worth it. Thats just to big of a engine size wise to shoehorn in. By the time you buy it and either pick it up or get it shipped You'll have close to $1k into it and it may not even be in that good of condition.

I have a 390 sitting in my shop floor and when you see the sheer size of it compared to a 302 or 351 it is easy to see that a 390 is not a good choice for an EB. Believe me I asked the same questions since I had the 390 when I got my Bronco but I was encouraged against it just as we are encouraging you against it. The 390 really doesn't make as much HP and torque as you would think and the aftermarket parts availability is miniscule compared to the 302 and 351. Can it be done? sure... is it the best way to spend your money? probably not...

Don't go there just too large.. Save it for a truck and it's either a NP435 or a T18 ... Their close but not the same thing..
