Edelbrock Performer RPM Tope End kit - Too much

Hi,

I'm looking at doing the top end on my 302... I ordered the Edelbrock Performer RPM kit and now I'm wondering if it is a good fit for a Bronco. Not enough low end toque. Says RPM band is 1500-6500.

Anyone try this kit?
https://www.edelbrock.com/performer-rpm-top-end-kit-for-s-b-ford-2091.html

Scared with the notes on summit Racing 'Although the advertised RPM range for these camshafts is 1,500 to 6,500 rpm, for best performance we recommend a minimum 3,000 rpm stall torque converter be used in applications with automatic transmissions.'

Maybe this one would make more sense:

Or Maybe the first kit but substitute this cam?

Still have time to change my order - thank you!

The original Ford intake is even better for EBs than the Performer. You need torque in the 1500-2500 RPM range especially with a stock torque converter and C4. Race car parts are good for race cars not daily drivers. They are lying when they say the RPM kit is good for 1500 RPM. In daily driving you rarely hit 3000 and that's when the RPM kit actually starts working.

Agreed on the 1500 RPM - I'm getting Pro-Flo EFI which comes with it's own intake. Just talked with Summit and switched out my order for the E street heads, and 2122 Cam.

We'll see how it works out, I'm really excited to get EFI.

I believe you said you were going w edelbrock pro flo kit. Any hood clearance issues with Pro Flo Kit?

Seems tall…

Lo pro air cleaner. Stock air cleaner. Either work or need to modify hood?

Thanks
