So I finally replaced my beat exhaust that was on my truck. I noticed from the rear, the driver side was pushing more air than the passenger side (higher pressure).
I hear what sounds like a tap, but the Engine is 800 miles old. The lifters are fine.
I dug around ( and burnt the shit out of myself) and found there to be a crack\hole around where the pipe join. The gasket itself seem ok.
These are the Shorty Headers from WH here.
So back to the pressure coming out the pipes in the rear.
Would an exhaust leak near the header cause this difference in pressure? I would have thought the opposite is so?
Any insight would be great, I'm going to pull the header off and see if I can weld the leak shut, but wanted to know about the irregularity.
Thanks
