I cant tell if i can come straight off the fuel rail with my flex because i dont have the body on the frame. I am using a fuel rail to an adapter. Can anyone tell me if need use an angled adapter on the fuel rail adapter. Hard to know with out the body. plan is to have everything in place before the body goes on. ordering hose tomorrow hopefully with fittings.

You mean not using the Explorer extensions, as in the picture?
It is a tight fit.

Doug, yes i am going right into the end of the fuel rail, been too long since i took the engine out the explorer to remember an extension. So what angle adapter do you think will work on the an fuel rail adapter. i will be running braided ultrapro hose. i thought it would be tight against the firewall.

I had to bend the drivers side a bit to even get the o ring adapter into the fuel rail. Throttle cable exit, wire harness hole, brakes... Lots of stuff there to try to nail it before dropping the body on. I suggest to not sweat it and install afterwards. It's not the difficult of an area to work in

My $0.02

If you bend the rail ever so slightly, you can use the straight fitting to convert to 6an and then a 45* if braided hose...

I pretty much like to use the factory extensions and move the connections away from the business of the fire wall.

Here is the Budget Mustang EFI conversion I did last Summer with an Explorer fuel rail and extension for a client...

Hank that might be what i have to do. Doug, i remember the extension now. i have an 01 harness, so i am returnless, only one line to run. i cant remember what i did with the extension, but i will know it when i see it because of the fuel rail fitting.
