Explorer oil filter to block adapter

I currently have the f1az-6890-b oil filter to block adapter installed in the block. The threads for the filter are 3/4-16" and it looks like the stock filter for the Explorer (Motorcraft FL-820S) has larger threads. 20mm or 13/16"...something like that.

Should I be using the FL1A?

If you want to use the stock type filter (FL1A), you need #f1az-6890-a.

I just read FL-1A is 3/4-16” threads so I should be good with the adapter that I have if I pick that filter up.

Ok, sorry if I made things more confusing. I know you want to use the FL1A, I thought your adapter didn’t fit it, and must have been the other part#.
