Factory Spare Tire Rack and Larger Tires

Does anyone here use the oem tire rack with 31"x10.5x15" mount on stock steel rims? I am concerned about the weight. Not sure of the load capacity. thanks, Tim

I do. And had a tire cover made for it.

I had a 33" on mine for a few years without having a problem but it did make me nervous.

After several years the 31 10.50s on 15X8" rims beat my swing away carrier to the point it was a rattle trap. I got some Ford truck 16X5" rims with 7.00X16 military tires that are 30.5" diameter like the 10.50s, but lighter and a lot narrower. The swing away stays tight longer.
