Was doing a little wheeling at my favorite local spot, and decided to run a lot lower air pressure in my IROK's than I normally do and low and behold, alot more traction!, so much that I broke the drivers side front u-joint and boogered the end or the axle up bad. So it's upgrade time, right now the front is an open carrier, but a may put in a limited slip or ARB at a later date, what axles should I get, I"m running a mild 302 with a T-18 and 4.10s with 36 13.50 IROKs, and I run in mostly rocks and a little mud. I was looking at the ones Jeff's has for 325 a set, but that sounds to cheap they do use 760 U-joints and are chrome-moly, I'm running 31 spline Yukons out back and have never had an issue with them.

I run d-44 chromealloys in front and 31 spline rear axles with my 351w (2barrel carb, rv cam), np435, stock d-20, 5:13 gears, and detroit lockers front and rear with 37x14 IROKS no breakage for 3 years and I wheel some of the extreme stuff in Las Cruces N.M. Good luck and remember wrenching in the rocks is better than wrenching at work. :)

i got these and am real happy with them;

stay away from yukon fronts, they have a reputation.

X2...I up graded from a D30 to a D44 w/ ARB and a new set of tires. I ran low of cash rebuilding the D44 so I put the stock axles back in with new u-joint. Started busting them right a way. Got a set of these from Tom's and they have held up well for the last 2 trail runs I've been on. Also, ask if the vendor has them in stock. Seemed when I was ordering mine most of the vendors had them on back order.

I was eye balling the Mosers that BC Broncos sells, but damn they are expensive at $600 for a set.

Anyone else have experience with the set from Toms? That price is alot easier on the credit card.

Sweet, sounds like the ones from Toms are just the ticket, now wonder what locker I should throw in while I have her apart?
