Firewall cowl

Started tering into the 70half cab the Po hacker messed up firewall cowl cut to much off rot here there wondering if one of those new one piece front would be better to buy and start less labor and time anyone have any luck with them and who did you get it from

I have a steel cowl from a '66 i was going to use.....nice shape. could get you some pics

from the floor pan to the windshield mount as well as the flat cowl panel

I have seen one of those in person, the install was beautiful when done, the fit was nice. It was at Bailie Bilt's shop. Not sure which vendor it came from but I know it more than made up the cost in labor savings.

Thanks. Yeller yea I figured it would but trying to build it on the cheap not cut corners and hack just cheap but a new pan does save time and mental anguish

I know it's like 500 for cowl and another 200 for windshield channel plus shipping figured by the time I'm done ordering some small pices also it's a grand but it's all new

yeah I probably should have went that far with mine there weren't that many holes in the upper parts but man was it thin.... I think it would probably move a lot and stess crack if it wasn't all tied to the cage/chassis so nothing is ever flexed and stressed.

Thought it might be a good time to reflect on others misfortune and remember how stress you can get workin on this rigs over rot and rust
