Flares

Trying to finish up a three year project. Like many of you, life tends to get in the way of the fun stuff.

I need some input on flares. Prior to paint, only the rear had flares. They were the smaller fiberglass ones. I think by virtue of new suspension and a little bigger tire, my ride has grown in height. For what it is worth, the Bronco is a street queen. I want flares on the front and back, not just the back.

I have attached a couple photos for reference, your input is appreciated.

I also want to convert my interior from white to black. Easiest path is???

Thank you.

1. I like WH Gorilla Warflares front and rear. They are flexible which allows you to easily fit them on existing cut fenders and/or mount them to your needs.

2. I just ordered black upholstery from TMI to replace my white (parchment) seats. Easiest is to use upholstery spray dye. But it wears though quickly and needs retouching to keep it looking good.

I went from the old school fiberglass Bushwackers to the WH Gorilla Warflares several years ago and have never regretted it. And yes, they are very flexible.

I'll probably get some for my '92 eventually.

I also had fiberglass flares only on the back of mine until '92 when I bought a set of Duraflex for all 4's. I debated about cutting the sheet metal on the front, but with the lift and tire size I run, they won't hit even with chains on the front so I left the front uncut for added strength. I did install the flares with small stainless steel allen head bolts and lock nuts so I can remove if I need to.

Thanks for the endorsements. The first photo shows one of the reasons we made Gorilla War Flares years ago. If you look at the space between the rear of the tire vs the front of the tire you see a big difference. The Gorillas can be installed to better equalize that spacing. We also needed a flare that didn't break. They look great painted or you can run them black. Also lots of additional choices on this page. https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/category/Bronco_Fender_Flares
