i am in need of finally breaking down and parking the bronco to rebuild the frontend. all kinds of shimmy and wobble in it. after taking it apart i see that i need a new spindle for the passenger side and new king pin joints. where is the best place to buy these items at or a good place to start looking. any information or comments would be of help.

Sorry to tell you, but the king pin rebuild kits are going to be hard to find...I called everywhere for mine, but only Wild Horses had any left, so call before they run out

If you really want to keep the D30, consider a chevy disc conversion. That will replace your bad spindle.
If parts are that hard to find and pricey, maybe time for a D44?

Just went thru the same deal with my 68. I can tell you for a fact that Wild Horses is the only place you can buy a complete kit with the nylon bushings. Other places have the bearings & seals but not the nylon bushings which will be ruined. Email me at mtww55@aol.com. I had to use 2 front ends to come up with enough kingpin caps so I have spare parts. I also have the tool shown in the ford manual to remove the old kingpins. You will have one heck of a time getting the old ones out without ruining the housing without it. Get ready for a nasty job getting the rusted crap apart. Its a real bad design that gets water in it and ruins everyhting. The kits are $29.95 each but they are high quality and WH is the best for service. Start soaking everything every day for 2 weeks with PB Blaster before trying to get it apart or you will have a pile of broken bolts
