Fuel gauge wiring.

I will be wiring (eventually) and I need to know whitch wire from the fuel gauge goes to the sending unit and where the other goes. Its from a 77 has a Orange wire and black. Any help is appreciated.

The Orange wire goes to the sender on the tank. The black/white is the pulsed power coming from the IVR. One side of the gauge is power (black/white), the other side is ground (orange). The ground is variable (sending unit), that's what make the gauge read differently. The orange wire goes to the sender, then from there, it goes straight to the frame. Variable ground. If you have dual tanks, the orange wire goes to the tank selector switch first, then the rear tank. For the Aux. tank the wire between the switch and the Aux. tank sender is yellow/white.
