On my quest looking for another in-dash deck, We ended up at Circuit City.

Look what I see in their shop getting a DVD in-dash deck installed complete with an amp and subs...

Chrome grill and the EB hood scoop set-up like a shaker...

I used to see this halfcab all the time on my way to work a few years ago and then it disappeared. I posted a pic here of it before of the modified halfcab.

It must of been in a shop for a redo. I knew the painter the first time around, don't know who did it this time. It sure looks sweet
It belongs to a local comedian here who has a show on the local channels.

Guess where the gas cap is......

We give . . . where?

I'd like to see more pics of the shaker hood. Using an EB hood bubble as the shaker is an interesting idea.

It's on the driver's side door striker post.... Pretty neat...
The filler came all the way over from the rear tank and the aux tank was there but not being used and its short filler hose was just hanging.
But I'm not sure if I would want it there. I had an old 76 F100 stepside that had it right behind the door and I couldn't use a vented cap because of the fumes were too close to the driver..

The shaker deal got my attention also. From looking at it if I were to open the hood the hood bubble would stay on the motor and the hood would have a hole fitted to it, Just like the factory shakers on muscle Mustangs, Torinos and Rancheros. What I didn't like is that there was no rubber seal from bubble to hood so if it rains than water would get into the engine bay. Maybe there was something to catch the rain but the workers wouldn't let me touch the rig to look.

The Circuit City workers didn't let me go over the customers rig but they did let me take a look at it after showing them pics of my rig on my Sony T-1 plus I was in there awhile talking to a salesman about fitting a deck in my old truck asking questions, When he asked what type of truck I told him "an old bronco" He told me they had one in the shop having a system installed.

Man I wouldn't want to over fill the tank on that one! I'm sure it took some engineering to get it installed there but that sure doesn't seem like a good choice to put it.

Everytime I change my mind and decide NOT to do a chrome grill, I see one!

Now I really want one!

Anyone know how much it would be to have a grill chromed?

The grill would look a whole lot better if just the center section was chrome. I'm not diggin' the chrome on the sides of the grill.

That's a nice looking rig though!

Nice rig, but I don't like the chrome all that much. As for the gas cap there, like Mad said, the fumes would just kill ya. I like the idea of having it behind the tail light, like a 56 Chevy.

Damn that filler is trick, wish I'd thought of that... As for fumes, use a sealed cap and plumb a vent off the tank or filler neck to a canister (like the later emissions ones). It's outside the weatherstrip too. With the right vent from tank to filler neck should fill ok even at a long slope back to the rear like that.

LOVE IT.

I had a chrome grill like that on my last '75. P.O. did it. I rubbed the front corner a bit wheeling and pushed a quarter size dent in it with a couple scuffs. In order to fix it I would of had to re dip the whole grill at a cost of $650. I lived with the ding.......
