Looking to get rid of the rubber gasket holding the windshield in and glung it in (with whatever is recommended) instead.

Anybody know the correct size to cut the glass so it will fit good?

Also, any concerns or worries about any possible flexing when glued compared to using the gasket?

TIA

I glued mine in and its bad ass! make a pattern. I used some aluminum coil stock like siders use to wrap windows and doors to make a pattern than was maybe 3/8" smaller than my viewfinder frame and then gave that to the glass shop.

Prime edges with 3M glass primer and glue it in nice and flush. Its a bad ass mod

FYI...i still have that pattern in the basement in case i need a new glass cut someday. The alumimun coil will last forever and much better than card board for a high tolerance pattern. Use a siding break to make your cuts on the pattern and you will have perfection.

the pinch seam may not be very large on your frame so keep the glass tight. 1/8" clearance at most around the parameter if you dont have much pinch seam to apply urethane to.

When you urethane it in, how you cut the tip is gona greatly affect how you can get that nice thick and TALL bead.

A pair of suction cups was a necessity for me.....harbor frieght
