So it was really early this morning and I was in the living room holding my 1 month old daughter, and I saw a 73 ranger that was put on my local craigslist just a few hours before. Only one picture and not much of a description but it was listed at $2500 so I call the guy up. He says that it has a c4 and the 302 starts and runs really good with no smoke. Only has rust in 3 spots being the rockers and the passenger floor.

After getting the go ahead from the wife, my son and I take off with the trailer and head south about 45 miles. Luckily the guy is super nice and honest so it really is solid. Door posts, strikers and inner fenders all are great. He grabs a battery and cranks it while I spray some ether because the gas tank isn't hooked up. It fires right up and sounds great.

I tell him he's got a deal. The rear tires are completely flat so he pushes onto my trailer with his tractor and we head home.

After looking it over i find what looks like original spice paint. Very preliminary thoughts are bronze metallic with tan top inspired by new king ranch super dutys. Thinking black 17 in. wheels

Anyway here's the pics

It's bronze fire metallic and caribou trim. And that would be so fricken awesome. I will certainly be jealous! Congrats and good luck with your build!
