I am having second thoughts on my Hanson bumper with WCB pre-runner fenders? I am sure a light hoop would help but I am interested in opinions on what would look better, Hanson with a hoop or one of protofab extreme prerunner bumper with WCB fenders?

I may sell or swap mine depending but I thought I would look for some advice first.
Any thoughts?
Dennis

Proto Fab tube bumpers are quite a bit lighter than the plate steel styles, and tube bumpers have been a standard on pre-runners for a long time. Lighter is better, especially on the front when you are going fast.

I actually like that bumper a lot, but I think a pre-runner style would look better only because of your fenders. The "bubble" look just doesn't go as well with the hard angles of the plate style bumpers.

Looks wise, I agree with the prerunner look and tube bumpers. I've got both bumpers and don't think the hanson is that much heavier then the protofab if at all, unless you are talking about the original 1/4" hanson.

I think both would look good but if you want the protofab I would like the chance to buy the Hanson from you.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think the bumper would look ok but the more I look at pictures the more I think a pre-runner is the way to go.

I am going to try and swap it out locally first if I can to avoid trying to ship it. If not I will let you guys know.
Thanks again for the feedback.

This was the last one Hanson had. I was debating back then between the two but having this be the last one they produced made me jump on it. I guess they are talking about building them again for EB's but the guy I talked to said it will probably be a different product, not a remake of the previous version.

I still have to go Hanson.. I have front and back and able to get one last set made after they cut production. Look great powder-coated black and the attachments for the rear including tire carrier and cooler attachment. Not too mention they are built to take anything you can throw at them.

Mine is a Hanson, but its for a Cherokee. Didnt take much to make it fit. new frame brackets a very little grinding.
Where can you buy a Hanson for the Bronco at now? I didnt think they were still being made. I have a body lift. Im getting ready to make new brackets to move it up where it belongs!

I like the look and the best part of that bumper is you can stand on it while working on your motor. Though I can see that weight may become an issue.

Personally I like the Hanson way better than any tube bumper. Just put a loop on it for lights and your good to go.
