I just completed the install of this top and I thought I'd share some photos. Powder coated and nicely engineered. I'm ready for the warmer weather. :)

Looks good! Pulling those windows out in the summer and having just the safari top part is going to be sweet!

The white goes with the stripe real nice. I so want to like this top, but something about the shape just turns me off. Someone before said too much like a Land Rover. Wish it was flatter, or not so high in the back. Wonder if it could be modified to flatten out the top at the back end.

Any pictures of the install along the way? How did you find it, relatively easy?

Response to questions on my new top

Darkmagnus, I was wondering if someone would ask about that silly tip. I have a 2 into 1 exhaust with 2.5" pipes and I have a little drone at highway speed and I'm experimenting with different size tips to see how I can impact the 'note'. Once I find the sweet spot I may have my tailpipe section refabricated in a different diameter.

Ilikebond, I actually completely agree with you about the profile of the top, especially in the back. I don't 'hate' it but it looks a little odd to me. I've got a two phase plan in the works. Phase I is to just get used to it and have fun. If Phase I doesn't work, I may think about modifying the final rear-most hoop to drop it down a little. Unfortunately this will require that the canvas be reworked by an upholstery shop and thus, Phase I may be sufficient. :) Bottom line is that the pros far outweigh these little cons in my opinion so I may just move onto other items to focus on. I love my Bronco.

Muskrat, yes BCB 2 into 1. I like it and my drone is not too bad but does show up at one point in the rev range when the vehicle is under a little load like climbing a slight hill. Playing with the diameter of the section of pipe after the muffler may help 'tune' the sound. By putting a 2" reducer on the end of my tail pipe helped with this situation. Now I have to decide if I want to remake the whole final tail pipe section or maybe just the last 12 inches. I'm still thinking about it. Here are a few photos of my system,

My top was made to match the profile of a stock top as close as canvas can get. I did it that way because I like the profile but also it would fit over all rollcages that were designed to fit under a hard top. Even the vertical rear is at the same angle as a stock top. The other aftermarket tops have a taller bow in the center(higher than my rear bow) in an effort to keep the rain from making a large puddle. My top bows have a high center to help the water roll off the sides.
Paul430c, how did the rear adjustable rear bow work?
About the exhaust I don't mind offering a quite exhaust but the exhaust now adds 11 HP on our test engine. I know 11 is not a lot so let me know in a new thread what muffler will be quite and I will look into it as an option. Or I can get a 3x2 adapter and you can run a 2" tail pipe.

adjustable rear bow

Chuck, I love the adjustable rear bow. How clever. I set it somewhat loose so I can tighten it a little each year to take out any slack that is develops from normal break-in and stretch over time. I agree that with tops having less bows, over time you get the sagging profile. I like the fact that you have the one additional bow. With regard to the exhaust, I've either gotten used to it or the 2" reducer worked. Either way, I'm either not noticing the drone any more or not obsessing over it. I think we all tend to fixate on anything that reflects a change from what we used to know. For me personally, whether it's the height of one rear bow or an exhaust note, in the future I'm going to make myself wait one month before I set out on 'fixing' something. :)

Paul,
Thanks for advice on seats. Love the top. That's one of my next purchases. Can you tell me the name/brand of your roll cage? I may be asking you all kinds of advice in the future........

My problem is back end height also.

My friend and I argued over the summer if the bronco could fit in the garage with the hard top on. He got it to fit by letting the air out of the rear tires and removing some of the dirt in front of the garage door + 300 lb nephew sat on the gate. It does not appear the last bow on the B.C. top can be lowered or adjusted. I was watching a youtube video by buildabronco demonstrating the rampage top. It shows how the bar on the last bow can be collapsed allowing the tension to come off the top. Maybe dropping the rear bow 2 inches. So to put my Bronco in facing forward which top do you think would work best? Hard to tell if Bestop back bow is adjustable. Again it clears up to about half way down the cab because when you drive over the garage threshold the rear tires raise up the back of top. I don't want to take air out and have someone sit on the tailgate each time I take it out as I now have to do with the hard top.

I think Jason is doing a black Friday sale but not sure. He is the man now. I do know the price of a lot of stuff is going up and we are behind on making tops. so if you want one in the near future you might check with Roxanne or Jason. I think we are back ordered over a mo. now.
