Picking up a Hardtop locally. What size/type bolts are used to secure the hard top to the tub and windshield? I don't own a truck or trailer so planning to pick up some bolts at HD and drive my bronco over and bolt the top on to transport home.

I'm pretty sure mine are 5/16 .. You may not be able to find but maybe 4 holes that'll fit. I'd say take about 8 bolt of several different sizes .
... So Get about 8 5/16 that are an inch long & maybe 8 that are 1 1/4 inch long .. Get flat washers also & Nuts. In case the hole are 3/8 with the washers you can make it home . & Re-drill extras at will.

If you got pretty paint, bring a roll of camper weather stripping or some small cloth towels to use between the top and the bed rails.

I prefer stainless bolts never have to worry about rusting.

The factory bolts for the windshield frame are a type of body bolt, maybe called a flange bolt. JBG sells a bolt kit for the full top...

Pretty sure I was able to get 7 or 8 bolts in the windshield frame. I did not buy the bolt kit, but sourced flange bolts from Lowes and had left over stainless for the tub.
Down each side of the tub I used stainless steel 5/16"-18 bolts at least 1" long. 1 1/4" is better, with washers, lock washers and nuts. Washers on top and underneath. Something like 6 or 7 down each side of the tub.

This is the seal for tub to top I used...

And the top of windshield frame seal...

... BUT IF YOU GO TO THE STAINLESS bolts .. Check them Periodically for tightness ..
I use stainless on Classic Tractors .. Close to Chrome but They sure do come loose fast. Need to keep the torqued up.
