Anyone run these on their Bronco?

I put a set on the wife's BMW and have been pleased with them. I have a set of Wagner Thermo quite pads on he Bronco and do not care for them. I also foolishly put a set on my daughters BMW and they are terrible. Going to swap hers to the Hawks and thinking about putting them on the Bronco also.

They do not show a pad for the Bronco but are the brakes not all the same on a 76 Bronco and a 76 f150?

Two options. Performance street and super duty.

Thats interesting... I put the Hawk HPS pads on my wifes BMW and they are quiet, very little dust and grip better than OEM.

I never had any brake pad fall apart but the ones I had on my Bronco were the Autozone cheap pads and they gripped very good but squealed like crazy... So I swapped them last year for the thermo quiet pads and while they are quiet it take both feet to stop the Bronco.

When I put the thermo Quiet pads on my daughter BMW it had the same issue plus a vibration.

The Hawk pads are not very expensive so maybe I will give them a shot and see...

What do you guys buy... and are happy with?

Be prepared to buy another set of rotors when you are done with the Hawk pads.

(Hawk Brake Pads = Rotor Rippers)

Hawk is a very Aggressive Brake Pad.

"Hawk" is not a brake pad compound, they are a friction manufacturer under the Wellman Group. Hawk offers several different compounds for either the D52 Chevy or Ford calipers, each with it's pros and cons.

Hawk Performance Ceramic: Low-dust (beige), low-noise, low-rotor wear pad compound designed for sport touring and luxury C/SUV type applications. Very smooth and predictable, although favors higher operating pressures associated with power brakes versus manual. Ambient - 750 F temp range.

Hawk HPS (High Performance Street): Medium-dust (black), low-noise, low/medium rotor wear pad compound. Slight higher initial bite than the ceramic option and feels comparable to many semi-metallic compounds on the market in terms of overall brake torque and well suited to daily driver use, light towing, etc. Ambient - 750 F temp range.

Hawk HP Plus (High Performance Street): Medium/High-dust (black), moderate-noise (cold squeaking is most common), moderate rotor wear pad compound. Much higher initial bite than the other two options feels like a very aggressive HPS pad. Ambient - 850 F temp range.

Hawk LTS: These are marketed as a Light Truck pad for higher GVW rigs, however I've been running them on my mom's 1999 F250 4x4 Superduty for about 20-30k miles and while they work great, we keep having judder issues if they're not run hard all the time...she tends to be pretty easy on the brakes, especially when towing, so I'm swapping them over to the Ceramics the next time I'm working on the truck.

Hawk Superduty: Just like it sounds, designed for fleet light-truck applications under severe-duty use. Not for the timid driver as these are aggressive pads designed to withstand very hard and repeated use.

Then you've got all of the motorport compounds which can and will eat your rotors in a weekend at the track, but I can't think of any reason to run those on a Bronco unless you've built one into a track car...which I'd love to do someday.

Considering I put only a few thousand miles per year on my Bronco I am not worried about the rotors.

The Hawk HPS pads have not killed my wifes rotors yet btu I replace the rotors everytime I change pads anyway. Same with the Bronco.
