Heater box control cables

What do you call / where do you get the little metal tab and hardware that holds the cable housing to the heater box, so that when you pull the knob, it actuates the lever rather than moving the cable?

Problem is I ordered a complete heater, and all three cables from wild horses. Neither the heater kit nor the cables have the little tab, and I was wondering if there's a better solution then faking one up from a scrap of metal?
