home built soft doors. has it been done?

Yeah, I made my own door insert doors. The lower half has a steel frame that has a HDPE plastic skin. The removalble window section has an aluminum frame with sliding lexan windows. I just reskinned and rewindowed the doors after 10 yrs of daily driving.
Not quite "soft" doors but highly durable sealed doors.

I wish one of the vendors would make a door insert with about a 3/4 inch lip that starts at the same spot as where the windshield meets so that a seal could be attached and the soft door would seal against it. if i was good with glass i would just add it to mine and then my best top doors would actually seal good.
