Anyone here installed the Hooker pre-fab dual exhaust? I'd be interested in some feedback on it, especially if you connected it to a different (non-Hooker) set of headers. (My '69 came with Hedman on it.)

I installed the black painted Hooker full length headers in about 1990 and the dual kit at that time. I recently replaced the dual kit with their replacement since they were getting in tough shape. Not the prettiest girl after this many years after the paint burns off but they have worked.
No idea what it would take to get them hooked to a different set of headers. I have wondered about doing that since short headers would make life a little easier working under the front but my local exhaust guy I planned to use to make connector pieces passed away recently.

Well, after thinking this through, I've decided I may as well get new headers anyway, since the Hedmans I have were never coated and are already showing considerable surface rust. By the time I go through the effort and expense to pull, media blast and coat them, I can probably just buy a new set in stainless, and get a Duff exhaust to match.
