How's this gear pattern look? - Dana 44

This is my first gear rebuild, so I'm looking for feedback on reading my pattern.

To me it looks like the coast side is fine. I'm less sure about the drive side (2nd pic). Is it too close to the face?

Looks great, Joe! How much backlash did it end up with? The 44 in the front actually runs on the coast side of the ring when going forward. I think you did a heck of a job if that was your first ring and pinion swap. There are easier diffs to learn on. ;D

Thanks! Backlash is .007 (manual says acceptable range is .006-.010) My pinion preload is also dead on. Almost makes me wish I didn't have all those setup bearings and races in there. Now I have to take it all apart again. :p
