Hurst Floor Shifter Repair

So my 3 sp Hurst shifter mounting bracket broke when I was driving around this weekend. I was able to find the gears enough to get home and Bronco Graveyard has the exact parts it looks like I need. The mounting bracket broke clean off where it mounts on the far side of the transfer case and I found out I was missing the shifter stiffener from the PO's crappy install.

My question is, how hard is it to replace these parts without messing with the rest of the way it shifts, like the rods and alignment, etc. Is it as easy as it looks? I've linked the parts that need to be replaced.

Hey Bulldog, hope you’ve been well! It’s been a while since I installed my shifter but I believe you shouldn’t have to mess with the linkage. If you have enough room in the floor opening you can unbolt the shift tower from the bracket and pull it aside. Swap the brackets, bolt the tower back on and check for adjustments. You might find with the new bracket, the linkage needs adjustment. It would be a good time to clean and check the springs and bushings in the shift tower while the shifter cover is off. How’s the fuel injection running?

Hope you’ve been well buddy, the fuel injection is running great! The tuner I had help me out did a great job and rerouting the PCV valve went a long way too. All was good until my shifter broke. Had to start from a dead stop in 3rd gear at a red light, ha. Could’ve been worse all told.
