i am in need of a few pics of the 6 cyl drive-line for the PTO winch... mounted up on a bronco..... im more visual than written when i learn.. the install manual i found is not making connections in my head... also is there anyway to retrofit a V8 drive-line to a 6cyl.. main reason is i want to see how it works.. i have available a v8 version and my newest project is a 6 cyl.... i may just have to keep hunting for teh 6 cyl version driveline, but the pics would be great regardless..
thanks in advance, jason

v 8 pto

I had a v8 koeing pto driveline in my truck when I bought it. at the time it had a 6 cyl engine so it can be done. I think the v8 drive line is longer than the v6 dive line because of the engine difference and bell housing . but here are some photos.

As said earlier the shaft is different, but if it's longer it can be cut down easy enough. The mount for the shaft is different on the V8 and V6, you can see it in post 3.

thanks , all.. diagram(much thanks for the effort to post it), just trying to figure out where the mounts actually attach to the bronco and why the 6cyl shifter mount is turned backward to the v8. the written diagrams i have do not show any pics other than the one posted.. yeah if its longer a simple cut down and balance would be great... thanks for all the help thus far

bracket

Bracket is similar but not interchangeable. Same for the shaft carrying bearing. I am in the process of making the shifter bracket and finalizing reproduction of the carrying bearing as well

My driveline was also for a 6cyl but I converted to fit my 351W with headers and NP 435/D20. I ditched the bronze bearing in favor of a Grainger pillow block and made a custom mount off the 45 degree angle brace behind the front cross member. If you can weld, you can make it work. it all tucked up nice and protected.
