I think my Bronco has a lift, but how much?

This sounds really stupid, but I just always assumed my project sat stock (I'm pretty new to the EB world). After seeing stock EB's and reading that they can only fit 31's, mine has to have a lift. I tried searching, but didn't come across the measurements I need. The coil springs look just like aftermarket ones and measure 14" in the Bronco with everything but the doors, fenders and grill on. Ground clearance from the lowest point of the frame rail on the passenger side measures about 19" (give or take a little...its a dirt floor :p ) Any help is greatly appreciated!

you may have a body lift....to check for this look where the body moutns are..the easiest to see are those near the radiator. If not that measure from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame rail. from that measurement compared to a stck one with tell you how much of a lift you have.

As Texasbronco said measure from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame a stock bronco will measure about 7in so anything above that is your lift. You may want to subtract a little since the front end is apart but it sounds like its stock to me but you'll know once you measure it. Actually 33's will fit if the rear fenders are cut and fronts trimmed with no lift.

Thanks for the replies, it's measuring about 8", so I guess its stock. PO must've put aftermarket leafs and coils though...the coils are much thicker than stock size and the leafs look new and have more curve to them than I think they should for being '66. Most vehicles I've owned from even the late seventies usually had flat leafs or even negative arch!

Yes, stock ranges from 7-8" between the axle tube and frame. Our original 66 and 77 all are 7" except the 77's rear which is 8" because of the higher GVW leafs, do it sits a bit higher in the rear.
