I work at a VA hospital and started talking to a younger vet about cars. He asked me what I drove and I told him I had a 75 Bronco. He went on to say that he had several early Broncos when he was stationed in Iceland. I was surprised when he said there were Broncos in Iceland and he went on to say that there were Broncos everywhere in Iceland. Any military guys on here that have been stationed in Iceland seen Broncos there. I had to question this guys story for multiple reasons, so prove him right.

I know there are some Broncos there. I've seen pictures. Sometimes the ones over there have hugely wide flares on them.

There was one brought back to Maryland area, complete with Km markings on the speedometer. It had very wide fender flares and rear end gearing which limited it to about 45 on the highway - supposedly original equipment.

There's one very similar here in NE Ohio I see every once and awhile at the weekly local car cruise. From what I can recall, the owner brought it back from Iceland after being stationed there.

I have always been under the impression that they were popular there, I think from an article I read when I was about 16.

I guess he was right then. He told me that while he was there, the base stopped housing F-16's and he was a metal worker with a mass supply of left over titanium. He said he took the body apart and made the inner fenders and complete floors out of titanium.
