Input on Welding on an aluminum radiator

I am finding I might need to weld on the tanks of an aluminum radiator I have. The tanks seam thick and have good welds. The tubs are furnace brazed and there is no epoxy and no gaskets in the manufacturing of it. As long as I keep the temp below 840f do you think it would be alright to weld on? Does anyone have any recommendations for trying to keep heat away from the brazed tube areas?

Thanks

I would just braze it! no way to keep it cool in a tight work area. You can get flux to make sure the job goes cleaner and faster, therefore cooler and less heat. I have braxed them and used a tig on them, but that depends on the fixxing area. Good luck, patience is key on this fix...
