I finally had a weekend where I could work on my bronco. Installed new black chrome mirrors and door handles today.

I final got the resealed transfer case back in the bronco which has been down for over two months due to not having any free time to work on it. I'm also fighting a PS pump leak which I may have fixed but won't know until tomorrow. If it's fixed I can drive my bronco again.

My transfer case was leaking from the D20 ZF adapter bearing area. I installed a new bearing and hope that leak is fixed as well.

I will post pics of the black chrome parts once I upload them to photo bucket.

Here's mine. Not the chrome ones (I bought those at first but am trying to remove all chrome) I was worried that they would be sticky, but turns out the mechanism works really well.

Also put on mirrors with similar finish, pretty happy with those as well, nice and tight. Can't remember if they were Toms or WH. I was worried about the handles being tight and mirrors loose after reading threads on here. So far been no issues. My rig's in the shop, I'll wait on final review until after I've slammed the doors a couple hundred times.

Forgot to ask... Did you find the door locks in black as well? Been looking for some and am thinking of just getting the chrome ones powdered.

I haven't seen door locks yet but I didn't really look either. My plans are to have all the trim, windshield, door, grill, bumpers and wheels all powered in black chrome. When I can afford it.

For now I sprayed the bumpers and gas caps in satin black which looks pretty good.

I really like that black chrome... Could you step back and get a pic of the whole door, or whole side of the truck?

I have had mine on for a few months and really like the look. Now someone needs to make the handle for the back hatch in black chrome as well as the door locks.

I plan on having the tailgate handle and all the trim powder coated in black chrome. The only thing that I think may work for the door locks is buying one of those kits in a spray can that sprays over chrome and makes it look like black chrome. My fear is one the lock getting clogged up and two I have no experience with any of these spray can kits and it's a bit pricey at $30 or so for the kit. I think PC on the door locks would be way to thick and may not turn out right. If and when i get that far I can ask the PC guy what he thinks.
