Installing 23 gallon tank - top of tank

What is everyone using between the top of the tank and the bottom of the floor.

Are you talking about the little feet that keep the tank from contacting the body?

I had a piece of 1x4x@24" long pine in there next to the feet as I figured it would rub a hole in the tank or damage the body.

I used the Aero tank and welded the brackets so there was a small gap between the tank and floor.

Are you using the WH M1 tank? Your will need a few pieces of think rubber so the tank rests against the floor. I think this was mentioned in the post about the stainless steel tank?

Tanks that use straps for mounting press the tank up against the floor. A sheet of rubber would be a good idea. Cut up an old inner tube. Nobody is going to see it for years.

If you have a rear seat, make sure you have sufficient clearance between the seat belt and seat bolts and the fuel tank.

You know what? This tank has stand-offs welded to the top. I think I'd split some pieces of heater hose, and glue them to the stand-offs with weather strip adhesive.

I put the Tom's 23 gallon in mine last month. I used some high density foam sealing tape on mine since I had it and it appeared to be what I was looking for.

I'll probably take a lot of abuse for this, but I'll share a couple pics of mine.

I printed up some fuel line clamps to hold the pressure and return lines plus the air line for the rear locker and the rear brake hardline. It has a cradle on top to zip-tie the wire loom into as well (there is a heat shield to cover it, but off for the pics). Fuel filter mounts on the outside of the frame rail for easy access and minimal heat. Low pressure pump with pressure cutoffs to transfer fuel from side tank to rear tank if I need more capacity. I also printed an air cleaner spacer to get up over the return line out of the FiTech. Gauge on front allows pressure monitoring at the TB.

That gauge on the fuel injection is one of the best things for troubleshooting problems. Have used it a few times when TB was acting up.
