Installing Toms shoulder belts, anyone use a spacer

Getting ready to install Toms shoulder belts. I installed in another truck and went well. The rollbar on other truck that you mount to was straight up. Mine is a family cage and is angled back. Anyone use some kind of spacer or block so belt isn't do far back? Pics

Yes, I did. Play around with getting them where it’s comfortable when sitting by clamping a piece of flat bar to the cage that sticks forward enough to suit you. I welded in a bung the bolted the flatbar to the bung, makes future adjustment easier.

A bung welded onto the tube (not a hole in the tube please please please) is good and solid because of the penetration but the result is not in double shear that most sanctioning bodies require.
