Is anybody here running the Ion Alloy style 171 wheels? Or any experience with Ion in general? I don't know much about them but the price is right.

I can get a good deal on them through a local chain store cheaper than I can find them online through US websites (so I get no shipping charges, no duty charges and no exchange rate to worry about). So it would work out well if they are decent wheels. I like the style, classic 10 hole aluminum. The other rims I'm considering would be the US mags slots, but with shipping/duty/exchange they will be twice the price minimum as the Ion wheels.

I would be going with 15x8 (-27mm offset) so about 3.5" backspace which would work well with my 76 disc brake front axle. Centerbore is 108mm (4.25") which is also good. I wouldn't mind going 15x10 but it has 4" backspace which will likely create issues with the tie rod clearance.

Just looking for some input/opinions on them

I like the wheels, but can't figure out where you're getting 10-holes...maybe you crazy Canucks count the valve stem hole and center bore. ;D

I've got a similar wheel (Eagle brand maybe?) in 15x10's with 3.75" BS on my '77 with converted T-type steering, and I can't run wheel weights on the inner lip or else the tie-rod ends take them off.

Classic looking wheel. It may not be one of the high dollar variants of that style but I bet it will fill your needs well.
Perfect look for an eb.
You have chosen well grasshopper.

Apparently I can't count :). I was looking for the Alcoa 10 hole factory ford wheels on the classified sites before posting so I must have still had them on my mind.
