So what is needed to be able to complete the installation?
Everyone's rig is a little different in terms of the starting point. So, I'll make the assumption that you have basically a stock set-up with a 302, carb, you've replaced the points with an electronic ignition module, and have a stock fuel system.
This is one of the easiest EFI systems to install, and just about everything is included. It's pretty much plug and play, once you address the following:
(I'll do my best here, but the disclaimer is that your situation could differ.)
- you'll need to upgrade your fuel system (high pressure pump, regulator, and return line, same for pretty much any EFI system)
- fuel pressure sensor (p/n 554-102 not included in kit)
- you'll need an O2 bung added to your exhaust (same for pretty much any EFI system)
Pretty much everything else in included and pretty much plug and play. I'm including the coolant temp sensor and the O2 sensor. You'll have to hook up two sets of power wires from the harness, and wire the harness to your ignition system (see diagram in the instructions linked below, but you likely won't need any additional parts for this, just connecting a couple of wires.)
