JB Twinstick hole location & Measurements for Bronco Design Tub

I made the cut and posted measurements & pics for future reference. Please remember that not all Bronco's are alike.

I'm about to do an initial cut through the floor on my Bronco Design Fiberglass tub. I was wondering if someone can give me a reference point of where the center point should be. If possible, a measurement from a fixed point would be ideal (exterior body point, jamb etc..) because the BD tub has an oversized tunnel. That said, I'll take any measurement you can offer!

Thanks!:)

EDIT: 302 with C4 and Dana J case

Sorry to confess publicly, but my tunnel (BD) is a bit wider than yours... I think I may have to figure this out the hard way.

If you could measure from inside of door post to inside of door post (LH to RH side) to get the center, and then how far back from that plane, I think I can get positioned from there.

57 1/4" SIDE TO SIDE LEFT shifter is at 25 1/2 and 5 1/2 back from post measurement......can always take a spin down there sometime too

Hope your shifter kits are the same or close to the same.

Ok, so I made the cut, and although Randy's measurements were helpful, they were not ideal for my tub. Below is what I experienced with mine (see pics)

1) With the transfer case in neutral, and the shifter installed, the measurement from the final firewall transition (at the tunnel) to the two sticks in the neutral position was 8". Keep in mind, I have a 1" body lift. This will be the center of the front to back measurement for your hole

2) I took the boot plate off and used it as a guide for cutting the hole. You want to position the shift boot plate between 1/8" and 1/4" from the drivers side edge of the tunnel.

3) You need to cut a 1.75 x 2.50" rectangle centered inside the boot plate opening, making sure the it's centered front to back (8" back see #1 above) and side to side using the inside of your boot plate as a guide.

The above dimensions should get you real close if your using a Bronco Design Tub, 1" body lift, 302 or 5.0 with a C4 and J shift case. This is for the JB Twinstick setup.
