Ok, so I'm not sure how many others are running this tank, or maybe they're still building, or maybe they're only driving to an occasional car show and rarely filling the tank. I was still fighting fuel weeping out of the fuel pump when the tank was full. This meant filling up, then parking on anything but level ground, or driving around with a full tank and fuel sloshing around.

In post 54 i'd switched to a cork gasket that jeff burton sent me, and slathered everything in hylomar. Neither held up to the gas. The hylomar turns to white dust (I later read about other people saying the same thing). The cork split and got deformed (probably shrank too).

Then I went back to the stock gasket with permatex 29132. You can't see under the pump flange, but it looks to me like at least some of the fuel might be coming up through the bolt threads, which are not surrounded by the factory gasket.

My last try seems have finally been successful (fingers crossed).
- cut my own gasket from 1/8 nitrile sheet, so it covers all the bolt holes. That's .047" thinner than the stock gasket, but that should be fine. NOTE- the bolt holes look symmetrical, but they're not, so you do have to pay close attention (that's why i put the little notch in mine, to help clock it).
-slathered everything in permatex fuel resistant gasket maker 29132

Here's all 3 gaskets/attempts.

It's been about 1 year, 4400 miles, and other than getting the pump to completely seal, all is well. And I'm still glad I cut a hole for a trap door for the pump.

it's not rocket science. Although I don't know why you'd buy a la carte (multiple shipping charges, not cheaper for the parts you'd end up making, powder coating, or buying anyways). Plus when i bought, shipping was free from Jeff's. So al a carte would mean that not only would i be incurring individual shipping charges, but i'd be paying for shipping in the first place. Honestly reach out to Jeff personally, like i said, he's beyond helpful.

So the nitrile gasket and sealant used in https://classicbroncos.com/forums/threads/jeffs-rear-poly-efi-tank.326675/post-3625628 seem to be working out, thank goodness. I was tiring of dealing w/ that.

(edited, and updated the summary post ) So the 1999-2003 F-150 fuel pump (pictured below) has 3/8" feed and return is 5/16", with those clip lock fittings. You'll want a set of these quick disconnect fittings, otherwise even the fuel injection hose clamps on just a piece of hose will eventually pop off.

Other than the late addition of these clips, things w/ the Poly tank are still going well.
