Don't order anything from Jegs unless you are absolutely certain you will not need to contact them and your order will be perfect or you have no choice.

I ordered a kit with Fuel/Trans cooler line and fittings months ago. It said it was 3/8" tubing and 1/2=20 fittings. Great, that combo is hard/impossible to find so I ordered.

Months later, kit came. Box said 5/16 tubing, I measured and confirmed that it is 5/16 tubing and not 3/8.

Called them and hold seemed long so I got on chat. Chat took over an hour and when I finally got through, she said she was the only one on chat and sorry for the delay.

I explained the situation, she saw, understood, said she fixed it (after a very very very long hold), said replacement of correct product is on its way to me and emailing a label to return this one.

Great, I said skeptically.

Got the replacement, and sure enough, it the damn same.

I sent a customer satisfaction report, no response. I tried emailing them, no response. I left a horrible review of the product and the situation, no response.

Now what...sit on hold?

I should just contest the charge. I don't have an hour to spare today.

I dunno...found a form to submit a technical question. Let's try that. What a stinking pain! I'll never order from there again.

I had similar luck the couple times I used jegs. I use summit whenever I need to order that stuff. They've always had great customer service. Any time there was a problem they got the correct part right out usually with a summit gift card for the trouble

I agree that summit is great and the customer service was well. I use them all I can and have bought so much from then but they didn’t have this kit…apparently, neither does Jegs though! Lesson learned.

Sorry to hear it, but thankfully I've never had to engage with JEGS customer service department, but it's definitely a good measure of the company with which you're dealing. When everything goes as it should, it's supposed to look easy...when things go sideways, that's when you get to see the company behind the flashy website and what they can actually offer in terms of bandwidth to deal with those situations.

Yeah, so good news is that my technical inquiry worked out and they sent me a label to return.

On another note and to compare, two of the VHT paint cans I ordered from Summit were no good. It took me all of 5 minutes to text them and then to replace them with a new order.

I have great service with Summit. Not even close to good service with Jegs. My latest experience with Summit was with an out of warranty radiator ( over a year old). It had a leak. I asked about it and they said they could warranty it at their discretion and did. Sent me a new one and a ticket for the old one to ship back in the same box. new one came in damaged. Took a picture and sent it to them. They sent me another one and told me that UPS would be picking up the old on. But the lady said UPS wont pick it up, they will write it off and not bother with the pick up. She added - so keep it for a week or two and then if its not picked up just keep it. Perhaps a local shop can fix it for you. So I have a brand new extra radiator that only needs a little work to fix. I use the same sales person every time even when I don't use him I put his name down. When I do need to talk to him, he helps me out if he can.
