Just snagged a Ford Sport Wheel... Do I need anything else?

So I decided to replace my cracked stock steering wheel on my '76 with a smaller but stock Ford Sport wheel off of a '78-'79 full size Bronco/f150. It is the non-horn version from a Mustang. For now I am not concerned about the horn (I will look for a horn button that fits at some point) but my question is: do I need anything else to make it fit on my column or do I just pull the old one and slide the Sports wheel in it's place?

Thanks for any info or advice!

I think it is a different diameter as our column plus it doesn't have the horn contacts on the bottom needed to upgrade it to be "hornable." Hope this helps.

Should be the same diameter to work on an EB column. The Mustang version probably doesn't have the horn contacts like taipeichris said. The picture on the left is the Mustang no-horn wheel. The picture on the right is a Bronco/F-150 wheel with the horn contacts.

I had one (mustang style-no horn contacts) on my stock '66 column for years. Fit the splines fine. There was a gap between the wheel and collar however, mainly because I was too lazy to loosen the collar and slide it up.

Thanks guy, I was mainly concerned about the splines, just want it to slide on the steering shaft okay. No inspection here in GA so no horn not a big issue.

I had one off a Mustang II, and it had a horn in the center. I believe the Pinto had one as well. It appeared to be the same wheel I had on an early fox Mustang turbo, so I wondering (forgot) was the horn on the directional shaft on the early fox mustngs?

Mac,
I had one of those out of a mustang and the collar is quite a bit larger and the you will have a gap between the column and wheel unless you make a filler piece to go in there.

I'm glad I had a horn yesterday morning dropping the kiddies off at school. If I didn't lay on it I would have had a crunched front fender from the lady trying to squeese in to a spot in front of me while taking a really bad angle.
Just sayin...
