Koenig Bumper with Modern Winch?

Hi, has anyone tried to retrofit a new winch on a vintage PTO bumper? Would it be as simple as welding a cradle in it, or would there be some pitfalls?
I'm trying to find a more vintage look (and open design) for a front winch bumper and like the look of the Koening units more that some of the other aftermarket electric-based bumpers of the past (although, some of the Warns weren't too bad).
Any pics of old, odd, or custom winch bumpers would be super cool. Thanks

I got a dealer installed bumper and Warn 5687 winch, like thebone has. Looks super cool and works very well, but it is heavy. I'd be willing to sell mine if you could find a good way to ship it. Here's some pics

Did it make a big difference in your front ride height? I’ve got WH 2-1/2 springs that feel pretty soft.

It did drop it maybe about an inch. I have RS90000 shocks up front that I just dialed in a little stiffer to counter the weight (They're adjustable).. Ended up taking it off since I'm not planning on being so crazy off road anymore now that it's being painted lol. It's the same Winch as that Belleview thebones has. Warn bought out Belleview, re-branded them and changed the rating stats from 6k to 8k. They have in cab controls

Those old bumpers weren't complex or hard to build; especially by modern standards. Instead of modifying a rare antique part, why not just build a new one that looks the same? It'll undoubtedly be stronger, and you can make it fit exactly what you want.

All those I’ve seen look super butchered up, but it’s an interesting thought. Probably cheaper too. I should think I’d hardly be the main offender of the conservationist with my one measly bumper either way.
