The story I have heard about the very last bronco is that it was given to an employee at the Michigan truck plant (they had a raffle or something) the VIN is all X's so it cannot be titled or driven on the road legally. The owner is using it as a plow truck and clears his driveway with it and will not part with it. This is from a very reliable source and has tried to purchase this truck for many years. That's the story that I know about the last bronco. Hope this helps!
Now, this is not the last "bronco that can be titled" it is the very last one built......

The 77 that was in our family for 21 years had a VIN of U15GLY74469 and was produced June 2, 1977 according to the Marti Report. Not the last since they went into the 8000s but getting near the end.
I've owned some U15GLZ's, the last one being a Raven Black Ranger with Saddle interior. And I personally had some later ones. I was all about finding the last '77 for a decade, kinda gave up.
