Leaf spring direction

I found a thread for the rear shackle direction. THe pics of the leaf springs were confusing. Does the flat end go to the front or back? I got the superlift springs from BG if that helps.

Flat to the rear is how mine are. Stock w/add a leaf.

i would think the flat end goes to the front, so the bent end would give the shackle more room to swivel.
