Leaf springs Which way

Quick question for the less knowledgeable. I am putting my leaf springs back on and need to know if the larger eye goes towards the front or the rear??

Towards the front (the larger eyes are called a Military Wrap).

The mil. wrap is only on the aftermarket springs. The stock springs have a wrap and an eye. The eye drops below the leaf then makes the loop back to the top of leaf. The wrap starts at the leaf and loops up around and back to the leaf. The first 2 leafs are make this way on the mil wrap. The stock springs put the eye in the front. The mil wrap puts the double wrap to the front.
