Lift Install Question

I just finished installing my 3.5" Wild Horses lift in my rig and I had a question about the coil springs.

It appears as though the bottom spring mount is a tiny bit farther forward than the top spring mount, so the coil spring looks a tad mis-aligned.

Is this normal? It is not a HUGE misalignment, it is hardly noticeable in fact.......but I am a perfectionist so I notice these things.

Everything is torqued to the proper specs, all of the bushings are new and installed correctly and everything is together and looks good........any comments?

Thanks,
Chris

This is totally normal. Mine is the same way as well as all others I have seen. This is cause by the radius arm being farther down in its stroke due to the lift.

There is no left and right coil spring, they are both
wound the same direction. There is a no right and
left perch either.

So, when you put the springs on, there is a little
asymmetry that comes from how the springs sit in
the perches.

It had me scratchin my head when I installed my lift
too.

Regards.

The lower spring cups aren't parallel to the upper cups and they are kinda tilted forward which causes the spring to not sit straight. Every lifted bronco I have seen has it, and it is no big deal.

I noticed the same thing this weekend after I finished my lift as well. Funny how you see the smallest things after you get to know the old guy over time. One more project complete!:) :p ;D

Duh, I should have read a little more carefully.

I was talking about the asymmetry between the
right and left side.

Oh well, you are squared away.

i was about to ask the same question. I just bolted up my 4 " superlift coils and my home made coil cups and noticed the spring not sitting perfectly vertical. As long as it is normal and won't hurt anything I won't worry about it.
